Pudge vs Terrorblade

How this matchup plays

Getting pulled out of position by a Meat Hook is often a death sentence, but against Pudge, it can also be an opportunity. Pudge wants to isolate Terrorblade and use Dismember to prevent him from using any abilities, especially Sunder. The lockdown is long enough to secure a kill with help, bypassing Terrorblade's high armor. However, if Terrorblade survives the initial burst or anticipates the hook, he sees a high-health target perfect for a Sunder exchange. The entire dynamic hinges on whether the disable lands before the health swap can turn the fight.

This creates a volatile matchup across the game. Early on, a roaming Pudge can severely punish Terrorblade’s laning phase before he has defensive items. Later, once Terrorblade has Metamorphosis, he can be the one hunting. Pudge has to find the real hero amongst illusions and hope his team can follow up on a successful hook before Sunder comes out. Terrorblade, meanwhile, plays around his cooldowns, knowing that if he can bait the Dismember or survive it, he can turn Pudge's own strength against him.
