Pugna vs Vengeful Spirit

Trying to channel Life Drain on a key target is frustrating when a Vengeful Spirit is on the other team. She has multiple ways to stop Pugna's ultimate. Magic Missile is a simple stun that breaks the channel from range. More importantly, Nether Swap is an instant, reliable interrupt that can be used to save the ally Pugna is draining. Since Swap repositions the target, it breaks the link from a long distance and works even if Pugna has spell immunity, making it a consistent tool to shut down his main contribution in a fight.

This dynamic forces the Pugna to play with a lot of hesitation. He can't simply start draining a priority hero; he has to wait for Vengeful Spirit to be dead or to use her spells first. This often means he’s late to the party or has to settle for less important targets. Venge, meanwhile, can play her normal game, holding her abilities for a moment if Pugna becomes the main problem.
