Clockwerk vs Razor

How this matchup plays

Trapping Razor inside Power Cogs might seem like a mistake. He can use Static Link, steal all your damage, and easily win the trade while you're both stuck in the cage. A smart Clockwerk, however, rarely lets this happen. The Cogs are used for control, not as a dueling ring. A well-placed set can push Razor away to break the Static Link tether or pin him for allies to burst down. Even without a perfect initiation, Battery Assault's constant mini-stuns are very disruptive for a hero like Razor who wants to stand his ground and attack consistently, making it difficult for him to get his own rhythm going.

Across the game, Clockwerk's job is to apply pressure with Hookshot initiations. Razor is a prime target for this, as he's not very durable before he gets a few items. If Clockwerk can repeatedly find Razor and force him out of fights, he slows down Razor's farm and overall impact. Razor's game then becomes about careful positioning, trying to stay far enough back that he isn't the first one jumped. This puts the initiative in Clockwerk's hands, giving him a slight edge by forcing the opponent to play reactively from the start.
