Clockwerk vs Venomancer

How this matchup plays

Picking one of these heroes into the other creates a stand-off where both sides have a clear path to winning the engagement. Clockwerk's entire game plan relies on trapping a single target with Hookshot and Cogs, then burning them down with Battery Assault. Venomancer, however, can make this very awkward. Poison Sting and Venomous Gale slow Clockwerk down, making it harder for him to stay on a target, and Plague Wards can be summoned inside the Cogs. This forces Clockwerk to fight both a hero and a bunch of wards, often allowing the target to survive the initial burst.

The outcome of their fights often depends on who gets the jump and who has better vision. If Clockwerk finds Venomancer alone and initiates perfectly, Venomancer usually dies before his poisons and wards can make a difference. If Venomancer sees Clockwerk coming, he can pre-cast spells and kite effectively, turning the initiation into a disaster for Clockwerk's team. It becomes a game of positioning and execution, where a small mistake from either player can decide the fight, leaving neither hero with a consistent, built-in edge over the other.
