How this matchup plays

Controlling the pace of the game is what this matchup comes down to. Razor has a direct answer to Sven in the form of Static Link, which drains away the physical damage that Sven relies on. A successful link can make Sven completely useless in a teamfight. However, Sven typically farms much faster thanks to Great Cleave, allowing him to hit his item timings, especially Black King Bar, sooner than other carries might. This specific item is key, as it lets Sven ignore Razor's control for a short duration, giving him a window to stun and kill his opponent.

The outcome often depends on which hero gets to execute their plan first. Razor wants to group up early, force fights, and end the game before Sven can get his items.
