Razor vs Tidehunter

How this matchup plays

Trying to drain Tidehunter in lane often feels like a constant reset. Razor's Static Link is a powerful trading tool, but Tidehunter can reliably break it with his Kraken Shell passive after taking a bit of harass. This forces Razor to repeatedly position himself to re-apply the link, making it difficult to build a lasting advantage. Tidehunter can also use Anchor Smash to reduce Razor’s own damage, making it tougher for him to secure last hits or threaten an all-in. The lane often ends up as a stalemate where neither hero can truly dominate the other.

Later on, the game becomes a race between two different strategies. Razor wants to leverage any small lead to force fights and take objectives, running at enemies with his ultimate. Tidehunter is focused on grouping with his team to land a fight-winning Ravage. A farmed Razor can be a huge problem if he gets to dictate the pace of the game. However, a single good ultimate from Tidehunter can completely shut down Razor's aggression, allowing his team to burst him down. It really comes down to which hero’s team is better prepared to execute their plan.
