Razor vs Vengeful Spirit

How this matchup plays

Trying to run at a core with Static Link feels hopeless when a Vengeful Spirit is on the enemy team. Razor’s entire plan relies on maintaining the link to drain damage and dominate a single target, but Nether Swap completely negates this from a safe distance. Vengeful Spirit can instantly break the tether, save her ally, and leave Razor stranded and vulnerable. A quick Magic Missile stun usually follows, holding Razor in a bad spot where he can be easily focused down, especially with Wave of Terror reducing his armor.

This dynamic forces Razor to play passively all game. He can't confidently commit to a target because Vengeful Spirit makes it her job to wait for that moment and turn the fight around. Razor is left with bad options: either try to bait out the Swap, link a less important hero, or wait for Vengeful Spirit to be dealt with first, which often means the fight is already lost. Meanwhile, Vengeful Spirit’s game plan is straightforward: stay near the carry and be ready to shut down Razor’s entire kit with a single spell.
