Riki vs Zeus

How this matchup plays

Getting a good jump on Zeus is a classic problem for Riki. Zeus has all the tools to deal with invisibility, using Lightning Bolt for targeted reveals and Thundergod's Wrath to find Riki anywhere on the map. This makes it incredibly difficult for Riki to scout or set up kills. However, Zeus is also extremely fragile and has no built-in escape. If Riki can get on top of him with a Blink Strike and use Smoke Screen, Zeus can't cast his spells or use items to get away and typically dies before the silence even wears off.

The game becomes a constant duel of positioning and vision control. Zeus plays from the safety of his team, buying defensive items like a Force Staff and using his spells to keep Riki revealed and hesitant. Riki needs to be patient, often waiting for Zeus to be isolated or to use his spells in a teamfight before striking from the shadows. The outcome often hinges on who initiates first. If Zeus spots Riki coming, he can kite and burst him down, but if Riki gets his full combo off, Zeus rarely survives it.
