Forcing an enemy to walk towards you with a spell is powerful, but it relies on getting close enough to cast it in the first place. Sniper’s entire playstyle is built around outranging initiation tools like those Ringmaster possesses. While a successful pull is a death sentence for the fragile marksman, actually getting into range to land it is the real challenge. Sniper can use Shrapnel to control space, scout for traps, and generally make it difficult for Ringmaster to find a good position. The fundamental clash is between Ringmaster's need to get in and Sniper's ability to stay out.

As the game progresses, this dynamic often favors Sniper. In teamfights, Sniper can contribute from the backline, safely chipping away at whatever targets are available. Ringmaster has a harder job, needing to navigate the chaos to find an opening on a key target. This can force him into risky flanks or require his team to create a perfect setup for him. Ringmaster needs to make a special play happen to be effective, while Sniper simply needs to position well and execute his standard attack plan, giving him a small but consistent edge.
