Ringmaster vs Spectre

How this matchup plays

Trying to control Spectre with Ringmaster's abilities often backfires. His tools are designed to catch and hold a target for his team, but Spectre thrives on being the center of attention. Any hypnotic pull that draws her closer to the fight just puts her in the perfect position to spread damage with Dispersion. Instead of setting up a clean kill on an enemy, Ringmaster effectively invites the unkillable raid boss into his own backline. Even area denial and traps feel weak when Spectre can simply use Spectral Dagger to walk through terrain and escape.

This dynamic leaves Ringmaster without a good plan once Spectre gets rolling. During teamfights initiated by Haunt, he can't peel for his carries effectively because focusing on Spectre is exactly what she wants. His lockdown becomes a double-edged sword; using it on Spectre forces his own team to clump up and die to her reflected damage. Lacking the burst or specific lockdown to truly threaten her, Ringmaster can only watch as Spectre farms her way to becoming a late-game monster who he has no hope of containing.
