Rubick vs Tiny

How this matchup plays

Stealing either part of Tiny's signature combo provides Rubick with a huge advantage. Both Avalanche and Toss are powerful, straightforward spells that are immediately useful without any special setup. Since Tiny needs to use both to be effective in a fight, Rubick is almost guaranteed a chance to grab a high-impact stun or a powerful repositioning tool. Unlike more complex ultimates, Tiny's basic abilities are what define his threat. Getting access to them on a more mobile hero with a lower cast point often allows Rubick to use them even more effectively than the original owner.

This dynamic puts the entire burden of execution on the Tiny player. He can’t initiate freely or use his spells to secure kills without giving Rubick a game-changing weapon. A simple gank attempt can turn into Rubick stealing Toss and throwing an overextended hero even deeper into trouble. The threat forces Tiny to hold his spells or use them in suboptimal ways, drastically reducing his impact. Meanwhile, Rubick can sit safely in the backline, waiting for the inevitable moment Tiny has to act and then punishing the play immediately.
