Picking Windranger into a Sand King often means preparing for a frustrating fight. The core of Windranger's kill potential, Focus Fire, is directly countered by Sand Storm. Sand King can enter his storm to become untargetable by attacks, immediately breaking the ultimate's channel and wasting her cooldown. This forces Windranger to either buy detection constantly or hope her team has it ready.
