Shadow Shaman vs Snapfire

How this matchup plays

Trying to hold a target down with Shackles often gets interrupted by Snapfire's Firesnap Cookie. This makes the matchup a game of cooldowns and reflexes. Shadow Shaman wants to initiate with Hex to guarantee a lockdown, but if he has to open with Shackles, Snapfire or her ally will almost always get away. On the other hand, a well-placed Mass Serpent Ward can be a problem for Snapfire, but she can often clear them from a safe distance using her ultimate or whittle them down with Lil' Shredder, mitigating a lot of Shadow Shaman's pushing power.

This dynamic means the lane can be tough for Shadow Shaman, as Snapfire can often bully him and easily save her core from gank attempts. As the game progresses, it comes down to positioning. A caught-out Snapfire is an easy kill for the instant disable from Hex. However, a well-positioned Snapfire can completely negate Shadow Shaman’s main disable from a safe distance, breaking up his team's aggressive plays and turning the fight around with a well-timed save or ultimate.
