Shadow Shaman vs Weaver

How this matchup plays

Controlling the map becomes incredibly difficult for Weaver. He thrives on split-pushing and finding pickoffs, but showing up in a lane against Shadow Shaman is a death sentence. Shadow Shaman can lock him down from a distance, turning any aggressive move into a mistake. This chokes out Weaver's farm and makes it unsafe for him to create space. Meanwhile, Shadow Shaman can group up with his team, drop Mass Serpent Ward, and take objectives. Weaver’s team is forced to either fight into the wards, where Weaver is easily caught, or give up towers for free, bleeding map control and gold.

The problem comes down to the nature of Shadow Shaman's disables. Weaver relies on Shukuchi to become invisible and Time Lapse to undo damage, but he can't do either if he's disabled. Hex is an instant transformation, giving Weaver no chance to react or dodge. Shackles provides a long-duration channel that holds him in place for teammates to finish the job. Even if Weaver buys an item to block a spell, Shadow Shaman has multiple lockdown options to burn through that protection and still catch him. There’s very little Weaver can do on his own to play around it.
