Timbersaw vs Techies

How this matchup plays

Controlling the map’s resources is where Techies starts to dismantle Timbersaw’s game. Proximity Mines make it incredibly dangerous for Timbersaw to farm his lane, cut waves, or enter the jungle, starving him of the gold he needs to snowball. Mechanically, this matchup is a nightmare because Techies' entire damage profile is magical. Sticky Bomb and Blast Off! completely ignore Reactive Armor, rendering Timbersaw's main defensive tool useless. The silence from a well-placed Blast Off! is often a death sentence, as it prevents Timbersaw from using Timber Chain to escape the incoming burst.

From the start of the game, Timbersaw is forced to play from behind, unable to secure the early farm needed for his core items. This delayed timing means he can't apply pressure or create space. In mid-game teamfights, Timbersaw has to cautiously navigate through areas Techies has mined just to participate. Even if he finds a target, Techies can easily kite back and wear him down from a distance. Timbersaw’s main hope is to get a fast Black King Bar, but Techies can usually dictate the pace of the game long before that item becomes a factor.
