Clearing out trees with Tree Grab gives Tiny a direct way to ground Timbersaw, preventing him from using Timber Chain to escape or engage. It's a rare and powerful form of control against a hero who relies on terrain. On the other hand, Timbersaw's Whirling Death is exceptionally good against strength heroes, and its pure damage eats through Tiny's large health pool, ignoring the armor he gets from Grow. Each hero possesses a fundamental tool that directly undermines what the other wants to do, creating a natural deadlock where neither has a consistent upper hand.
