Timbersaw vs Undying

How this matchup plays

Fighting inside a Tombstone is a nightmare for Timbersaw. His whole plan is to absorb hits to build Reactive Armor stacks and reposition with Timber Chain, but Undying counters both parts of that strategy. Decay drains strength directly, which means Timbersaw’s maximum health plummets regardless of how much armor he has. The zombies from Tombstone then swarm him, applying constant slows and body blocking his Timber Chain escape routes. He gets pinned down with no efficient way to clear the horde, making him an easy target for Undying's team to finish off.

This pressure starts in the lane, where a few Decays make it impossible for Timbersaw to trade effectively. He can’t play as the aggressive space-creator he wants to be. Later on, his teamfight impact is heavily dependent on whether Tombstone is on cooldown. If Timbersaw commits to a fight and Undying drops his ultimate, he's often completely neutralized. To have a chance, the Timbersaw player must rely on their team to focus the Tombstone down immediately or be forced to play on the fringes of the fight, which undermines his role as a durable frontline hero.
