Timbersaw vs Ursa

How this matchup plays

Trying to survive a gank as Timbersaw feels hopeless against Ursa. The whole point of Reactive Armor is to build up tankiness against physical attacks, but Fury Swipes ramps up damage so quickly that it completely overwhelms Timbersaw's health regeneration and armor stacking. It feels like you're getting shredded no matter how many stacks you have. On the other side, even if Timbersaw lands a perfect spell combo, Ursa can activate Enrage and shrug off the burst damage, making him nearly impossible to kill.

This dynamic gives Ursa control from the very start of the lane, as he can simply run Timbersaw down anytime he gets close. Later in the game, Timbersaw is supposed to be a durable front-liner who creates chaos, but he can't do that job with an Ursa on the field who can tear him apart in seconds. Timbersaw is forced to play on the fringes of fights, using Timber Chain for escape rather than aggression. Ursa, meanwhile, can treat Timbersaw as a primary target he knows he can kill.
