Timbersaw vs Vengeful Spirit

How this matchup plays

Trying to build Reactive Armor stacks feels pointless when Vengeful Spirit is in the game. Her Wave of Terror shreds base armor, directly undermining how Timbersaw stays alive against physical damage. This makes him surprisingly fragile even with a high stack count. Beyond that, her kit is a nightmare for his mobility. Nether Swap can instantly pull Timbersaw away from the safety of trees and into the middle of her team. If he tries to escape with Timber Chain, a simple Magic Missile will cancel it and hold him in place for the kill.

Throughout the game, Timbersaw can never confidently play on the front line. He has to constantly track Vengeful Spirit, as getting caught by Nether Swap is a death sentence. His usual plan of zipping around the edges of a fight is shut down by her ability to reposition him at will. Vengeful Spirit's team can use her to initiate directly onto Timbersaw, using Wave of Terror for vision before swapping him into a vulnerable spot. This turns his aggression into a liability and makes him the primary target instead of the primary threat.
