Wraith King vs Sniper

How this matchup plays

Controlling the map against a Sniper is much simpler when your core can't be easily kited or bursted down. Wraith King has a reliable stun to get in close, and his lifesteal helps him stand his ground and trade hits. Even if Sniper and his team manage to bring him down, Reincarnation gives Wraith King a second chance to finish the kill. The slow from his ultimate makes it incredibly difficult for an immobile hero like Sniper to reposition and escape after that first life is gone, effectively trapping him in the fight.

This dynamic means once Wraith King gets a key mobility item, Sniper can’t safely show in lanes. Most teamfights will start with Wraith King finding and eliminating him. This constant threat forces the Sniper to play passively, slowing his farm and forcing him toward defensive items instead of damage. Sniper’s team has to dedicate immense resources to peeling for him, while Wraith King’s side knows their primary target can be killed twice over. It puts all the pressure on the Sniper to have perfect positioning, while Wraith King can often afford a mistake.
