Wraith King vs Spectre

How this matchup plays

Fighting Spectre head-on is often a mistake. Wraith King brings a big stun and crits, but every attack against a farmed Spectre reflects damage back from Dispersion, turning the duel into a race of who runs out of health first. On the other side, Spectre can have a hard time chewing through Reincarnation, especially if Wraith King's team is positioned to punish her after he resurrects. Both heroes are incredibly durable, so they tend to compete more than they counter one another.

The game usually becomes about timing and execution. The Wraith King player wants to group with his team and force objectives earlier, using his stronger mid-game to build a lead. In response, Spectre's team will try to stall and create space, letting her use Haunt to farm lanes and join fights selectively. Ultimately, the fight isn't decided by the heroes alone but by which team can better enable their carry's preferred game plan and hit their item timings first.
