Wraith King vs Tinker

How this matchup plays

Trying to control the map with pickoffs is Tinker's entire game. Wraith King denies him that fundamental objective. Tinker relies on unloading a full spell combo to burst a target and retreat, but he can never secure a solo kill on Wraith King this way. Reincarnation means Wraith King simply stands back up, often with a Blink Dagger ready to close the gap and a stun to hold Tinker in place. This forces Tinker to overcommit his spells and time on a single target, leaving him exposed and draining his mana for no real gain.

This advantage lets Wraith King dictate the pace. He can push lanes aggressively with his skeletons, forcing Tinker to show himself to defend. Once Tinker is visible, Wraith King or his allies can initiate, and Tinker can't survive that kind of focused attention. While Tinker's team tries to deal with a frontline hero who has two lives, Wraith King is free to hunt his primary target. Tinker's best bet is to avoid Wraith King completely and focus on his supports, but a smart team will play around their unkillable carry, leaving Tinker with few safe options.
