Wraith King vs Winter Wyvern

How this matchup plays

Using Winter's Curse on Wraith King often feels like a wasted cooldown. Even if your team manages to kill him during the duration, his Reincarnation means he gets right back up, ready to fight. This forces Winter Wyvern to either use her most powerful spell for a temporary kill or find a less important target. On the other hand, Wraith King has a simple plan for dealing with Wyvern: get on top of her. His targeted stun and army of skeletons make it very difficult for a slow support like her to escape once he closes the distance.

As fights break out, this dynamic puts the pressure on the Winter Wyvern player. She's constantly weighing whether to use Curse on Wraith King to burn his second life or save it for another core who will actually stay dead. Meanwhile, Wraith King is actively looking for her. While Cold Embrace can save an ally from his physical damage, it won't save Wyvern herself if she gets caught out of position. He can often survive her team's initial burst, and once his stun lands on her, there's little she can do.
