Snapfire vs Templar Assassin

How this matchup plays

Controlling the map against a Templar Assassin often comes down to who can break her Refraction the fastest. Snapfire excels at this with Lil' Shredder, a rapid-fire ability that can strip away all of TA's protective charges almost instantly. Without her main defensive tool, Templar Assassin can't safely farm exposed lanes or ancient stacks, making her much easier to gank. Even Snapfire's ultimate, Mortimer Kisses, is a problem; while each glob only removes one charge, the persistent slowing pools on the ground make it difficult for TA to escape or re-engage once her defenses are down.

This dynamic starts in the laning phase and continues all game. A well-timed Lil' Shredder can completely negate Templar Assassin's aggression or turn her into an easy kill. Later, if TA manages to get a jump on a core with a Meld strike, a reactive Firesnap Cookie from Snapfire can force her away and save the target. Templar Assassin is forced to play cautiously, trying to bait out Lil' Shredder on someone else before committing to a fight, which gives Snapfire's team control over the tempo of most engagements.
