How this matchup plays

Saving an ally with Cold Embrace can feel like a trap against Snapfire. While the physical immunity is useful, it also holds the target in place, making them a perfect, stationary bullseye for Mortimer Kisses. This can turn Winter Wyvern's best defensive tool into a liability, forcing her to choose between letting an ally die to physical damage or setting them up for a full-duration ultimate. Snapfire can also use Firesnap Cookie to reposition targets, saving an ally or breaking Winter Wyvern's positioning during Arctic Burn.

This dynamic creates a standoff in teamfights. Winter Wyvern has to hold her spells, waiting for Snapfire to commit her ultimate before feeling safe to use Cold Embrace. Snapfire, in turn, waits for that exact moment to punish. Winter Wyvern's own ultimate, Winter's Curse, remains a major threat that can win a fight on its own, but even then, Snapfire can sometimes counter it by using her cookie to move the cursed target away from their team. The fight often hinges on which support blinks first.
