How this matchup plays

Dealing with a Techies minefield is often straightforward for Sniper. His exceptional attack range lets him dismantle Proximity Mines from a position of complete safety, clearing a path for his team without ever being in danger. However, Techies doesn't rely on stationary traps to be effective. A surprise Blast Off! from the fog provides a long silence and heavy burst damage, which is often enough to kill Sniper before he can even react. Sticky Bomb also forces constant movement, which denies Sniper his preferred stationary firing position.

The game becomes a careful dance of positioning. Sniper wants to play far behind his team, using them as a human shield while he provides consistent damage from the back line. Techies, in response, has to play creatively. He'll use smokes of deceit and flanking routes to find an opening on Sniper when he's isolated or distracted. The fight is less about a direct counter and more about which hero gets to execute their ideal game plan, making the outcome highly dependent on team coordination and vision.
