How this matchup plays

Killing a Tombstone from a screen away is what Sniper does best, and that’s the core of this matchup. Undying relies on his zombies to disrupt a fight, but Sniper can often destroy the source before it becomes a problem. Since Undying has no natural way to close the distance, he struggles to apply Decay or threaten Sniper directly. The slow movement speed means Sniper can usually kite him and any spawned zombies with ease, using Shrapnel to control space and chipping away from a safe position.

This dynamic hinges entirely on team composition. If Undying's allies have the lockdown or gap-close to get on top of Sniper, the situation flips. Flesh Golem’s damage amplification makes Sniper an extremely fragile target for a team collapse, and a follow-up Soul Rip can provide significant burst. The fight comes down to whether Sniper’s team can protect him long enough for him to dismantle Undying’s setup, or if Undying’s team can dive the backline first. The winner is often decided by which side better enables their hero’s game plan.
