Spectre vs Sven

How this matchup plays

Hitting Spectre with a full-power God's Strength is often a death sentence for Sven himself. A huge portion of that burst damage gets reflected right back at him by Dispersion, and Spectre is naturally durable enough to survive the initial assault. Sven needs to kill his targets fast, but Spectre is one of the hardest carries to burst down. Even her Haunt illusions have Dispersion, making them dangerous for Sven to clear out quickly and bleeding him of health before the real fight begins.

This dynamic forces Sven to play on a timer. He needs to get a massive item lead and try to end the game before Spectre gets too farmed to kill. His best bet is to use Black King Bar and his ultimate to blow up one of Spectre's teammates, hoping she's not ready to respond. Spectre, on the other hand, is happy to see the game go late. With Haunt, she can punish Sven any time he's farming alone, isolating him for Desolate damage. She dictates the engagements, and Sven's direct, all-in approach plays right into her hands.
