Spectre vs Undying

How this matchup plays

Farming against an Undying in lane is a miserable experience for Spectre. Every cast of Decay saps her strength, making it harder to survive, let alone secure last hits. This constant pressure often forces her into the jungle early, slowing down her core items. Even when Spectre uses Haunt to join a fight, Undying’s Tombstone can completely zone her out or overwhelm her with zombies before she can secure a kill. His entire kit is built around disrupting a passive hero during the laning stage and turning that into early teamfight victories.

This creates a game where Undying's team tries to force the issue, taking objectives and grouping up long before Spectre is ready to fight. They use his early strength to build a lead that can't be overcome. The Spectre's job is to weather this storm, farming safely and only committing Haunt to guaranteed kills on the other side of the map. If she can survive Undying's mid-game peak and finish her key items, his impact fades considerably and she can take control of the late game.
