Storm Spirit vs Vengeful Spirit

How this matchup plays

Trying to assassinate a hero as Storm Spirit requires a clean entry and exit. Vengeful Spirit shuts this down with her point-and-click stun, Magic Missile. The moment Storm appears, he's locked down and vulnerable, letting the whole team turn on him. Even if he survives the initial stun, Nether Swap is often a death sentence. It pulls him out of position, typically after he's used all his mana to zip in, while simultaneously saving his intended target. Venge's kit is fundamentally designed to punish mobile heroes who dive the backline, and Storm is the classic example of that.

This dynamic forces Storm Spirit to play a completely different game. He can't reliably initiate fights or pick off stray supports if Vengeful Spirit is alive and has mana. He's relegated to cleaning up fights or waiting for someone else to deal with Venge first, which often means his team has already lost the advantage.
