Techies vs Void Spirit

How this matchup plays

Thinking Techies is a free kill for an assassin like Void Spirit is often a mistake. Void wants to jump in, burst a target, and get out, but Techies has tools to disrupt that entire sequence. If Void Spirit commits onto Techies, a quick Reactive Tazer self-buff will disarm him, neutralizing a huge part of his damage. Following that up with a Blast Off! silence can then prevent Void from using Dissimilate or his ultimate to escape, leaving him stranded and vulnerable. It completely turns his own aggression against him.

This dynamic forces Void Spirit to play with unusual caution. Instead of initiating, he often has to wait for Techies to use his spells on someone else first. Later in the game, he might need a Black King Bar before he can safely attempt a kill on anyone near Techies. Proximity Mines also complicate his movements, forcing him to be wary of common entry points or risk taking massive damage before a fight even starts. It doesn't shut him down completely, but it adds enough friction to his game plan to give Techies an edge.
