Techies vs Zeus

How this matchup plays

Clearing out minefields from a safe distance is a core part of Zeus's game plan against a Techies. His Lightning Bolt gives a small pocket of true sight, which is often all he needs to find and destroy Proximity Mines before his team has to deal with them. This severely limits Techies' ability to set up traps around key objectives or in common jungle paths. As Zeus clears out the map, he strips away the primary way Techies contributes, forcing him to rely on landing Sticky Bombs in active fights rather than getting kills from his traps.

The matchup becomes a battle of patience and positioning. A careful Zeus can make it feel impossible for Techies to get anything done, methodically de-mining areas before his team commits. However, Zeus is fragile, and a single mistake can be fatal. If Techies can stay hidden and land a good Sticky Bomb, Zeus might not have time to react before he's blown up. Techies will look for unconventional spots to hide, hoping to catch Zeus when his guard is down, while Zeus tries to maintain vision and never walk into the fog of war unchecked.
