Templar Assassin vs Tiny

How this matchup plays

Fighting into Refraction is the whole story here. Tiny's Avalanche is one of the best tools for shredding its charges, as it deals damage in several quick instances. This completely opens Templar Assassin up for the rest of his combo or follow-up from his team. On the flip side, TA's Meld strike removes a huge amount of armor, and Tiny naturally has very little. If she gets the jump from invisibility, she can kill him incredibly quickly with physical burst before he can react. Both heroes have a clear and effective way to kill the other.

The laning stage and mid-game often feel like a duel over cooldowns. Tiny will constantly look to burn Refraction with Avalanche to harass or set up a kill, forcing Templar Assassin to play cautiously. Later on, the dynamic is the same but on a map-wide scale. It's about who initiates first. A successful gank from either hero usually results in a kill, as they both lack innate tools to survive the other's full burst without a key item like a BKB. The fight really comes down to player skill and who gets the first move.
