Templar Assassin vs Vengeful Spirit

How this matchup plays

Applying a heavy armor debuff with Wave of Terror is the core of the problem for Templar Assassin. While the spell's damage does burn a Refraction charge, it's a very efficient trade for Vengeful Spirit. The wave strips TA's armor and gives vision, setting her up to be killed by physical damage from Venge's allies. This makes it extremely difficult for Templar Assassin to rely on her defensive skill to survive ganks or walk up to creep waves, especially when Venge can spam the ability from a safe distance.

This dynamic forces Templar Assassin to play passively. Her usual plan of finding aggressive solo kills is often ruined by Nether Swap, which can instantly turn her gank attempt into her own death. Vengeful Spirit isn't an easy target herself and can often survive TA's burst with a well-timed stun or swap. The constant threat of being revealed, de-armored, and pulled out of position means TA can rarely dictate the pace of the fight, giving Venge's team a clear advantage in most engagements.
