Terrorblade vs Tidehunter

How this matchup plays

Farming the map with illusions is a huge problem for Terrorblade in this matchup. Tidehunter clears them out easily with Anchor Smash, which also cripples Terrorblade’s own right-click damage during trades. This slows his economy and makes it hard to pressure towers. The bigger issue, however, is in teamfights. A single Ravage can completely neutralize a Metamorphosis. Getting caught in that stun wastes the entire duration of Terrorblade's most important cooldown, leaving him and his illusions unable to act while the enemy team closes in.

This interaction puts Tidehunter firmly in control of the game's tempo. He's always a threat to initiate a fight his team can win, forcing Terrorblade to play reactively. The usual game plan of split-pushing with illusions is less effective since Tidehunter can shove waves back so efficiently. Terrorblade is forced to either avoid fights until he has a BKB or hope his team can somehow bait out the Ravage. He's constantly on the back foot, unable to establish the map control he needs to accelerate.
