Terrorblade vs Vengeful Spirit

How this matchup plays

Fighting into a farmed Terrorblade usually means trying to burst the real hero down before Sunder. Vengeful Spirit makes this much easier for her team. Wave of Terror cuts through his naturally high armor, softening him up for physical damage carries. More importantly, Nether Swap is a perfect tool for isolating him. When Terrorblade activates Metamorphosis and wants to attack from a safe distance, Vengeful Spirit can pull him directly into the middle of her team, separating him from his supports and leaving him open to be focused down.

This dynamic forces the Terrorblade player to be constantly aware of his positioning. He has to play with Swap in mind, either waiting for it to be used on an ally or having an item ready to survive the initial jump. A good Vengeful Spirit will often hold her spells specifically for him, creating a window to kill him before he can react. However, a risky Swap can be punished. If Vengeful Spirit puts herself in a bad spot to get the kill, Terrorblade and his illusions can quickly turn and eliminate her, potentially swinging the fight back.
