Tinker vs Vengeful Spirit

How this matchup plays

Getting jumped by Vengeful Spirit is a death sentence for Tinker. His entire game plan relies on staying far away from the fight, using tree cover and Blink Dagger to remain untouched. Nether Swap is a fundamental counter to this strategy, instantly pulling Tinker from his safe perch and dropping him directly into the enemy team. This is often followed by a long-duration stun from Magic Missile, giving more than enough time for her allies to finish the job. Vengeful Spirit's tools are perfectly designed to isolate and eliminate a single, slippery backline hero.

From the mid-game onward, this dynamic defines Tinker’s experience. He can’t safely split-push or farm side lanes because a Vengeful Spirit with her own Blink Dagger can be hiding anywhere, ready to initiate with a Swap. Teamfights become a nightmare, as he is often the primary target for her abilities. Tinker is forced to play with extreme caution, waiting for Vengeful to use her ultimate on a different target. But since he's usually the highest-value target for it, she will often hold it for him, completely zoning him out of the fight.
