Tinker vs Weaver

How this matchup plays

Landing a kill combo on Weaver is unusually difficult for Tinker. Tinker's entire game plan revolves around bursting a target with spells before they can react, but Weaver's kit is designed to counter exactly that. Shukuchi makes him invisible and lets him reposition, often dodging the initial volley of rockets. Even if Tinker manages to land his full damage, a well-timed Time Lapse simply erases it, leaving Tinker exposed and Weaver ready to counter-attack.

Throughout the game, both heroes want to play on the edges of the map and apply pressure, but Weaver has the upper hand in direct confrontations. Tinker has to play reactively, waiting for Weaver to use his defensive spells on someone else before committing. To reliably kill Weaver, Tinker needs to secure a hard lockdown item like a Scythe of Vyse first, which is a major investment. Weaver, on the other hand, can often hunt the Tinker, knowing he has the tools to survive an initial burst and turn the gank around.
