Tiny vs Windranger

How this matchup plays

Thinking you can burst Windranger with a full combo is a common mistake for Tiny. Once the initial stuns from Avalanche and Toss wear off, she can activate Windrun to evade all physical damage. This completely neutralizes Tiny’s powerful follow-up attacks with a tree, leaving him with only the magical portion of his combo, which is rarely enough to secure a kill on its own. A failed attempt leaves Tiny with no mana and no escape, turning him into an easy target.

This dynamic makes ganking Windranger a huge risk throughout the game. For the play to work, Tiny needs to either catch her without Windrun available or rely on teammates with magical lockdown. Otherwise, he’s committing his longest cooldowns for nothing. Windranger can play around this, baiting the combo before easily kiting him. She can use the space created by a failed gank to land a Shackleshot on the overextended Tiny, turning his own aggression against him and controlling the tempo of the fight.
