Treant Protector vs Zeus

How this matchup plays

Finding a hidden Treant Protector is something Zeus is uniquely good at. Lightning Bolt provides vision and true sight, which can knock Treant out of the trees and expose him before a gank. Thundergod's Wrath does the same thing on a global scale, making it risky for Treant to scout deep into enemy territory. This dynamic cuts both ways, though. Treant's Living Armor is a constant frustration for Zeus, as it directly negates a significant amount of the chip damage he applies to heroes across the map. It's a direct answer to the pressure Zeus wants to create with his ultimate.

In the early game, Zeus is a tempting target for a gank since he's slow and has no natural escape. A well-timed rotation from Treant Protector can easily secure a kill. Later on, the Zeus player's job is often to break Treant's positioning ahead of a fight to prevent a surprise Overgrowth. Treant’s team, meanwhile, benefits from the global healing that makes it much harder for Zeus to finish off low-health targets from afar. The game often comes down to whether Zeus’s vision control matters more than Treant’s map-wide protection.
