Tusk vs Vengeful Spirit

How this matchup plays

Trying to land a good Snowball gank is the core of Tusk's game, but Vengeful Spirit makes it incredibly difficult. A well-timed Nether Swap can pull the Snowball target to safety while leaving Tusk stranded deep in enemy territory. Even if Tusk gets his combo off on a target, Vengeful Spirit can often survive the initial burst and turn the fight with a simple Magic Missile stun. Her ability to break up Tusk's aggressive plays is a fundamental problem for him at all stages of the game.

Throughout the game, Tusk is forced to play around Vengeful Spirit's position. Any attempt to initiate on her allies is met with a swift reposition from Nether Swap, often leaving Tusk overextended and alone. As the game progresses, Venge's armor reduction from Wave of Terror also makes him a much softer target for physical damage carries. For Tusk to succeed, he needs to either catch Venge herself out of position first or wait for Swap to be used on someone else, which is a huge constraint on his own timing.
