Undying vs Winter Wyvern

How this matchup plays

Pushing towers with an early Tombstone forces a response that Winter Wyvern isn't equipped to provide. Her spells are overwhelmed by the sheer number of zombies Undying creates. Splinter Blast can't clear them fast enough, and the constant pressure drains her resources. While Cold Embrace can save a teammate from the zombies' physical attacks, it also roots them in place, making them an easy target once it ends. More importantly, Undying can use Soul Rip on the embraced ally for a large burst of magic damage, bypassing the immunity entirely. Even Winter's Curse is less effective, as the zombies ignore its effect and continue to swarm targets, diluting the spell's focus.

This dynamic allows Undying to dictate the pace of the game. He can bully Winter Wyvern out of lane with Decay spam and secure objectives his opponent can't contest. Wyvern's best bet is to avoid direct confrontations, encouraging her team to split the map and only take fights where she can land a clean ultimate without a Tombstone complicating things. Undying, however, wants to force the issue. He groups up, runs at the enemy, and uses his overwhelming teamfight presence to build a lead that's difficult to come back from.
