Picking a midlaner to handle an enemy Ursa often leads to a hero like Void Spirit. The theory is sound: Ursa needs to stick to a target to build up Fury Swipes stacks, and Void Spirit is built to prevent exactly that. With Dissimilate, he can dodge Ursa’s initial Overpower burst and reset the engagement, while Aether Remnant can be used to hold the bear in place. This makes it extremely difficult for Ursa to ever secure a solo kill, as Void Spirit always has an escape hatch ready for the moment he gets jumped.

As the game progresses, this dynamic becomes a cat-and-mouse game of initiation. A skilled Void Spirit can consistently outplay and kite Ursa, surviving ganks and staying safe in teamfights. However, the matchup flips completely if Ursa catches him without spells available.
