Ursa vs Zeus

How this matchup plays

Trying to find an opening on Zeus is a frustrating experience. Ursa needs his Blink Dagger to get on top of a target, but Zeus is constantly casting spells from a long way off. Even a stray Arc Lightning can put Blink on cooldown, leaving Ursa stranded. Every time Zeus uses an ability, Static Field chips away at Ursa's health, softening him up before he can even commit. This means Ursa is almost never at full health when he wants to fight, and his main initiation tool is unreliable against a hero who is always casting.

This dynamic forces Ursa to play on Zeus's terms. Ursa wants to smoke up and find pickoffs, but Thundergod's Wrath can reveal his position and health status to the whole enemy team, making it risky to roam while low. Ursa has to rush a Black King Bar to have any chance of reaching Zeus, but by then Zeus can have a Force Staff or Ghost Scepter to survive. It's a rough matchup because Zeus directly counters Ursa's game plan of surprise burst damage without having to change his own build or playstyle.
