Vengeful Spirit vs Venomancer

How this matchup plays

Picking Venomancer means you want to kite enemies and wear them down from a safe distance. Vengeful Spirit makes this plan impossible. Nether Swap completely breaks Venomancer's positioning, pulling him from the back lines into the middle of the fight for an easy kill. His reliance on slow-acting poison is a poor match for the instant, targeted burst he faces when caught. Vengeful Spirit’s armor reduction from Wave of Terror also means he melts even faster once he’s pulled out of position, making his low base survivability a massive liability.

This dynamic shapes the entire game. The Venomancer has to play with constant fear, as any time he shows on the map could be his last. He can't split-push safely with Plague Wards or get into a good spot to use Poison Nova. For the Vengeful Spirit player, it becomes a simple hunt; finding and swapping Venomancer often wins the teamfight outright. The Veno is forced to buy defensive items like a Force Staff much earlier than he'd like, delaying his core impact and crippling his game plan.
