Landing a perfect Winter's Curse on an enemy core feels great, until Vengeful Spirit instantly Nether Swaps them to safety. This single interaction defines the matchup. Vengeful Spirit can completely undo Winter Wyvern's biggest play, saving a key hero from being focused down by their own team. The same logic applies to Cold Embrace; an enemy you thought you saved can be swapped right back into the fight, held in place until the immunity wears off. Vengeful Spirit's ability to reposition heroes on either team directly undermines Winter Wyvern's attempts to control a fight.

This isn't a one-sided affair, though. It becomes a game of chicken. A smart Winter Wyvern will track Nether Swap's cooldown and try to catch Vengeful Spirit in the outer radius of her curse, preventing the save.
