Venomancer vs Weaver

How this matchup plays

Choosing one of these heroes to face the other creates a very specific standoff. Weaver's kit seems well-suited to dealing with a typical Venomancer game plan. Shukuchi provides the mobility to dodge Venomous Gale, and if the slow does land, Time Lapse can remove it and reset any initial damage. The critical exception is Poison Nova. Weaver's ultimate offers no escape from the non-dispellable damage of Venomancer's ultimate, meaning his primary defensive tool has a major blind spot in this matchup. This tension defines the entire game.

The result is a constant cat-and-mouse dynamic. A successful Weaver plays on the fringes, using his elusiveness to find and burst Venomancer before that critical Poison Nova can be cast. He can't afford to get clipped by it. Venomancer, in turn, must play around his team, using Plague Wards for vision and protection against ganks. His goal is to survive long enough to land his ultimate on Weaver, forcing a Time Lapse that won't save him from the ticking damage. Success for either hero depends entirely on who can execute their plan first.
