Weaver vs Windranger

How this matchup plays

Trying to burst Windranger down is often frustrating for Weaver. He can close the distance with Shukuchi, but her Windrun provides full evasion, making his physical attacks useless until it expires. He's forced to either disengage or wait out the duration, leaving him vulnerable. On the other hand, Weaver is an incredibly difficult target for Windranger to lock down. Even if she lands a perfect Shackleshot, he can often survive long enough to use Time Lapse and reset the fight entirely, undoing all her effort.

This stalemate plays out all game long. Laning is a cautious exchange of poke. Later, fights between them come down to cooldowns and who gets the jump. If Weaver catches Windranger without Windrun ready, she evaporates. If Windranger lands a Shackle on a Weaver whose Time Lapse is down, he’s an easy kill for Focus Fire. Both heroes excel at punishing small mistakes, and since both have a powerful tool to escape those mistakes, their duels are usually decided by who blinks first.
