How Abaddon and Dazzle perform as teammates in Dota 2 7.41f, from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Abaddon and Dazzle win 50.22% of ranked matches when playing on the same team, over 5,980 matches.
Pairing these two heroes feels like a guarantee that nobody will ever die, but their abilities can be redundant. When a core gets jumped, both Dazzle and Abaddon want to react instantly. This often leads to Shallow Grave and an Aphotic Shield being used on the same target to save them from one burst combo, wasting a major cooldown. While Abaddon’s Borrowed Time can sometimes trigger and save himself independently, the overall teamfight plan is a bit one-dimensional. You have two heroes dedicated to a very similar type of save, which doesn't always add up to more than what a single one could accomplish, leaving the draft with less lockdown or damage than it might otherwise have.

These rows use the last 30 days of quality-filtered ranked matches, all patches in that span combined — a wider window than the patch-scoped count above, so the per-rank match totals can exceed it.
