How Abaddon and Nyx Assassin perform as teammates in Dota 2 7.41f, from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Abaddon and Nyx Assassin win 54.53% of ranked matches when playing on the same team, over 8,986 matches.
Putting an Aphotic Shield on Nyx Assassin before he breaks Vendetta lets him initiate without fear. The shield absorbs the initial retaliation and dispels the first stun that hits him, guaranteeing he can land his Impale and follow-up spells. This turns Nyx into a much more reliable and aggressive ganker, since Abaddon can keep him alive through a fight with heals and Borrowed Time if things get rough. The duo excels at picking off key targets across the map, as Abaddon provides the exact defensive cover that a fragile initiator like Nyx Assassin needs to execute his game plan confidently.
